Wow! What a week!
My Truitt Campaign Imploding? blog post has been viewed an astonishing number of times. PushJunction.com even picked it up (They are similar to the Drudge Report but for Texas Politics).
I’ve been busy on the phone with political stuff all week. Lots of phone calls from candidates yesterday complaining about the lack of access at City Hall for early voters. City Manager Steve Polasek was right on top of the issue and addressed them as best as he could. The problem is that the City committed to the Greater Keller Chamber before the courts decided on a primary election schedule. Basically, we ended up double booked.
Please be patient if you are going to vote at Keller City Hall today, or if you can, vote at a different polling place. You can vote at any Tarrant County Election Polling place today, not just at Keller City Hall.
The polls I have heard about this week are very encouraging for conservative candidates in NE Tarrant County. Those polls have been passed around a lot here in North Texas as well as Austin. Seems Bud Kennedy saw the latest polls and basically he has conceeded HD98 with his column today “Tea Party Prepares for Victory”
The Tea Party takeover of Tarrant County Republicans is nearly complete.
With four days to go, candidates from the party’s libertarian faction seem poised to wrest two Texas House seats away from established Republicans, and a Ron Paul campaigner could win her first full term as party chairwoman.

Bud is trying to accomplish some last minute spin in order to scare more liberal Republicans to the polls. Never underestimate the power of the press, make sure you get out and vote for Gio and Kelly Hancock today or Tuesday.
Speaking of Kelly Hancock, the DMN had a good article quoting our favorite political consultant Bryan Eppstein…….saying the SD9 race isn’t negative, but rather “hard fought.” This is the same guy who’s running Truitt’s campaign that is saying every day that MQS is so negative in his attacks on poor Vicki. Jeesh….these guys.
But the article does go on to point out that Hancock is getting his money from Republicans, where Todd Smith is fundraising from Democrats…..especially trial lawyers.
This is Memorial Day Weekend, a time to remember our fallen soldiers. We will make a trip to Dallas to place something on our Son-in-Law and granddaughter’s grave at Dallas National Cemetary. Please take a moment to remember the men and women that gave their lives so we even have the opportunity to vote in a free and fair election.
All Gave Some, Some Gave All,
Some stood through for the Red, White and Blue And Some had to fall.
And if you ever think of me, think of all your Liberties and recall Some Gave All
I might write more later, but I have work to get done!
Remember, if you don’t vote…..don’t bitch!
I’ll leave you with the Foo Fighter’s My Hero…..a song about how normal everyday people are our real hero’s in life.
