A little number crunching this afternoon. Gio won all but a handful of precincts across the district, the worst by percentage being Westlake….(his response…”They wouldn’t let me in the gate to walk door to door”), the worst by numbers was Timarron. He won all but a couple of precincts in Keller (total number of votes separating them in losing precincts in Keller was 16 votes). He won Truitt’s precinct with 56% of the vote.
His best precinct with a large turnout? Precinct 3554. My very own (and John Hoffmann’s)….where he won 2-1 (actually 68%). And no, I’m not taking credit, I did walk my area, but we have a very good Precinct Chair who walked every door in the Precinct. That made a huge difference. The voters of 3554 also are used to having their door knocked on….between me, John, Ed and Gio, they have probably been visited by somebody over 10 times in the last year. That doesn’t count if Marcus or Bill knocked on their door in their election.
Todd Smith in Keller got hammered, in my precinct he got 27% of the vote.
Gio won Keller with 2147 votes to 1571 for Vicki Truitt, basically 58% – 42%. Clearly his strongest showing in the district was in Keller.

Way to go Keller! We are so proud to call Giovanni our Texas House Representative. We may not all agree on all the issues (or presidential candidates), but we sure know how to get the vote out. By the way, I am Tea Party and I don’t support Ron Paul.
