The GOP state convention begins tomorrow in Ft. Worth and I’ll be attending as much as my schedule allows.  I am a State Delegate from SD9 and have thrown my hat in the race to become a National Delegate from CD26.

What works against me to become a National Delegate is that Keller is at the far south end of CD26, what works in my favor is I lived in Denton County for 15 years, where much of CD26 is located.  I’m looking forward to getting reaquainted with some of my old running buddies from the Denton County GOP, and even though my chances are slim, I decided why not.

I first wanted to be a national delegate after watching the Republican Convention in 1976.  We only had one TV, and my dad would watch coverage whenever it was on TV.  To me, it was riviting.  It’s been on my bucketlist and hopefully I’ll be able to go to Tampa this summer.
