It was announced yesterday that Lynyrd Skynyrd and Kid Rock will play at the Republican Convention in Tampa. I have seen neither live, and look forward to the shows.

On another note, I inivited my dad to come with me to Tampa and experience his first convention in person. It’s something he has always wanted to do, and he nearly went to Denver in 2008 but the logistics didn’t work out. He also wanted to go to Chicago in 1968, just to witness the events going on in the steets of Chicago. My mother put her foot down and said she didn’t want him to end up in the hospital or jail. I’m sure my father will enjoy hanging out with all the Ron Paul supporters (as he has become one himself) and he spent the night looking for Goldwater T-Shirts to wear and to hand out to people. From a Goldwater Republican, to a Reagan Republican to a Obama Republican to a Ron Paul supporter. What a journey it has been for him. I’m happy that he will be able to attend the event, and maybe he will be the one stirring up the Ron Paul supporters to cause some ruckus. I wouldn’t put it past him.
