Just a quick post before I head off to a Council meeting. I had the opportunity to go watch the Indians take on Flower Mound the other night in a scrimmage. What shocked me is how young of a team Stramp is fielding, a couple of freshman and a number of sophomores make up the Indians lineup. While they should on paper have not even had a chance against Flower Mound, they in fact beat them that night.
I can see that pitching is going to be an issue for them, and talking to pitching coach Jared Stafford, he said he just wants his guys to throw strikes.
On another note, last weekend former Indian Caleb Barker made his debut with the Houston Cougars baseball team where he had four RBI’s in the series against Northeastern. Congrats to Caleb and to former City Councilman Terry Barker!
