With all the talk about density in Keller, we received this word today from the City Manager:
The city received the building permit application for the Waterford Glen apartment complex located at 400 Bourland Road. A rezoning request will not be necessary as the property is already zoned for multi-family uses. The development consists of 16 residential buildings containing 185 residential units. There is also a clubhouse and a maintenance shop. It is going to be an approximately $18,000,000 project.
For comparison, the Lakes of Stone Glen has 216 units; Dominion at Town Center has 276 units; Grand Estates of Keller has 159 units, and Arthouse has 187 units.
Let me highlight a couple of items.
This property is zoned multifamily currently, so there they have the right to build the apartment complex at this site.
This project will not require any approvals from the City Council, if after plan review, the staff determines that there are no variances in their application. Since they are at the stage of applying for their permit, that plan review may already be complete.
I will be asking from staff on this next week.
